Certificate in Automotive Service Technology

The Certificate in Automotive Service Technology is a concentrated curriculum designed to prepare the student for entry level employment in the automotive services industry in the shortest possible time. This curriculum consists of all the automotive core courses required for the AAS degree. A total of 52 credits are required to receive the Certificate in Automotive Service Technology.

General education requirements

There is no general education requirement for the Certificate, however, communication skills, mathematical skills, and study skills are essential for successful job performance and will be scheduled on an individual basis as necessary. All incoming Automotive Certificate students must take the Accuplacer assessment test to determine their level or skill in these areas.
