Water quality is a daily concern on a fish farm. Students of the Aquaculture Technician Program learn to monitor and analyze a variety of water quality parameters critical to the health and growth of fish.
Students frequently track the growth of their fish via weight/count sampling techniques. When their product reaches market size it is sold to a seafood processor for distribution to restaraunts and grocery stores throughout the state.
Net mending and repair plays an important role in the containment of fish.
