Keep an eye on your mailbox for your CCCS Refund Card. The CCCS Refund Card is a Mastercard Debit Card issued by HigherOne, a financial services company that is now administering student refunds for colleges within the Colorado Community College System. The first shipment of cards to TSJC students begins August 5, 2010, with additional shipments in the following weeks. Please do not throw away this important card as you must activate it to choose the quickest method you prefer to receive your financial aid or other school refunds.

Your refund method choices include:

• You may choose to have your refund loaded on to the CCCS Refund Card Debit Mastercard, or
• You may choose to have an ACH transfer to another bank account of your choice

Please activate your CCCS Refund Card and follow the instructions to choose your refund method for the quickest refund options. A loss of the card or delay in activating it may delay you receiving your refund up to one month. Also, you will have to pay $20.00 to replace the CCCS Refund Card.

If a student chooses not to activate the card, his/her refund will be sent to the address on file with HigherOne. This takes about 21 days from the date the refund is processed.

Even if you do not expect to receive a refund while you are a student at TSJC, you are still encouraged to activate the card in case you may receive a refund in the future.

Your new CCCS Refund Card will be mailed to your current address on file with Trinidad State Junior College. If you’re not sure that Trinidad State Junior College has your current mailing address, it is critical that you update your address information today.
